Morrowind Restore Magicka Spell

broken image

There is at least one mod out there that (supposedly, haven't tried it) gives you a 'restore magicka' spell (paradox city if you think about it). I may try this and put it on a constant-effect item. The Set's bonuses boost your Spell Damage, spell Critical and Maximum Magicka. With its fifth piece bonus whenever you deal damage, you restore 63 Magicka. This effect can occur once every 0.25 seconds. A decent Set option for Magicka DPS Builds. Its special effect will allow you to setup for maximum offense since you can restore Magicka. Essence of Spell Power. Restore magicka increase spell power (sorcery) lower spell resistance (breach) beetle scuttle corn flower lady's smock. Essence of Spell Power. Restore magicka increase spell power (sorcery) spell critical. Corn flower lady's smock namira's rot. Essence of Spell Protection. Increase spell resist (ward) l.

Being a selfless and kind sort of fellow, I bought the wife a gift yesterday - ES4: Oblivion (and the required DVD drive).
But with only one copy, I need to wait to play it.
That's fine, I never finished Morrowind - although recent threads got me to pull it out again and give it another shot. It's a heck of a lot prettier with all of the various graphics replacers - Better Bodies, Better Heads, some of the weapon replacers. I'm also using Assassin's Armory, Combat Enhanced, Morrowind Comes Alive, Partners, and one of the Herbalism mods.
My current character is a Breton nightblade, high in the Thieves Guild and House Hlaalu, and somehow I actually seem to be following the main quest. (I never bothered to go talk to the Ashlanders before, and now I'm working on the Fourth and Fifth trials).
I'm probably going to finish the main quest with him and then do something totally different - I discovered the 'Nerevar say Nerevar' mod (which sets the game after the main quest is finished) so I'm thinking about going and playing a character without the 'weight of prophecy' on his shoulders. Maybe a Telvanni sorcerer. With that in mind:
What's your favorite 'alternate start' mod? I know there are some that set you up in places other than the ship at Seyda Neen, and there's a whole big list at Empirical Morrowind. Has anyone used Paths of Life? Is it compatible with any of the other alternate beginnings mods?
What's your favorite house/stronghold/stronghold expander? I have the Balmora Thieves' Hideout in my current game, although it included some stuff that seemed pretty 'cheaty' (I should have left that out). I've also got Rethan Expansion. What's good out there, especially over in Telvanni country? What should I stay away from?
What are your favorite magic tweaks? I love the Herbalism mod I have - no opening plants and they vanish after you collect them - but what else should I get for a 'pure' magic type? Has anyone tried out 'Infernal Summoning'?
What are your favorite graphics mods? I already know I'm keeping Better Bodies and Better Heads - the improvement is astounding. What else brings the pretty?
And last, What other mods would you never play without? I'm talking your 'desert island' mods, the ones you'd have on there if they were the only mods you were allowed to have (and you couldn't turn them off.)
Answer early, answer often, help my marital status by keeping me entertained with Morrowind until mrsn finishes Oblivion!

Resist Magicka M% for D seconds

Resist Magicka decreases the damage or other negative effects done by most spell effects.

Scrolls

98 chevy g20 van repair manual. These include Absorb Health, Damage Health, Drain Health, Absorb Fatigue, Damage Fatigue, Drain Fatigue, Absorb Attribute, Damage Attribute, Drain Attribute, Absorb Skill, Damage Skill, Drain Skill, Blind, Burden, Disintegrate, Sound, and any Weakness to Element effects. It protects from the effects of disease as well, as all diseases apply only these resisted effects.

This does not resist Fire Damage, Frost Damage, Poison, or Shock Damage. It does not protect against effects with no magnitude either, such as Paralyze or Silence.

Some races possess a natural Resist Magicka effect. Bretons are 50% resistant to magicka, and Orcs are 25% resistant. Altmer by contrast have 50% Weakness to Magicka, so they in particular may want spells and items with this effect in order to counteract that weakness.

Notes

  • Certain magical items have negative effects which can be resisted, but Resist Magicka will not nullify the positive effects.
  • Creating a custom 100% Resist Magicka spell that lasts 3 seconds costs about 280 gold. Opening the inventory immediately after casting this spell will allow time to equip constant effect items and resist their negative effects for the remaining time the items are equipped. This trick is most popular to use with the Boots of Blinding Speed.
  • It should be obvious, but once Resist Magicka reaches 100%, it's the only type of resistance that can't be broken by a Weakness effect, since Weakness is itself a magicka type spell.
  • Several artifacts and unique items make Resist Magicka available as a constant effect:
    • Royal Signet RingTR provides 100%.
    • Cuirass of the Savior's Hide provides 60%.
    • Ebony Mail provides 20%.
    • Ring of Phynaster provides 20%.
    • Wraithguard (right gauntlet) provides 10%.
    • Mara's Blouse provides 10%.
